Cochin’s main tourism season is October - March during the winter months, whilst monsoon season is between May to August
after 3 months travelling throught India with various degrees of cleanliness in hotels (even expensive ones) it was very refrshing to arrive at Casamia and be greated by Lovely Usha and her familly. the place was spotless (everywhere) and it was an absolute pleasure not to have to check bed and shower before settling down to a lovely fish dish which i watched being prepared in the kitchen (cooking lessons are part and parcel of the stay). Anthony (her husband) is the accountant and the taxi man but will play errand boy to the other side of town if necessary, to fetch fish or other ingredients if you mention a dish you would like prepared for your supper . This kind of dedication to the confort and pleasure of the customers is warming and you feel like an old friend visiting after a long absence. see you next visit to Cochin.
